"Candles showed up damaged"
I was really looking forward to these, but the box arrived all smashed up and one of the candles was cracked when I opened it. There were little bits of wax everywhere, which was frustrating. For the price, I expected them to be packed better, and I kind of felt left in the dark about what to do next. Overall, disappointing

"Nice candles, but the packaging could be better"
The candles themselves arrived in good shape and they look really nice. That said, the box was a little dented when it got here, and the packing materials felt kind of cheap, so I was a bit worried at first. Luckily nothing was damaged, and overall I’m still happy with the candles

My order seriously took forever to get here. I was just sitting around waiting, and there were barely any updates the whole time. If shipping stays this slow, I probably won’t order again.

"I had a problem with my order, trying..."
I had a problem with my order, trying to get it sorted out just put me in a bad mood. The replies took forever, and the whole thing felt like nobody was really bothered to help. I thought it would be a quick fix, but it dragged on way longer than it should have. Disappointing experience, and I don’t see myself ordering from rootcandles.com again.

"Clean burn, but I’d wait for a sale"
I ordered a couple candles from Root Candles, and my quick candle test is usually simple: does it smoke a lot, does the jar get sooty, and does the scent actually fill the room? On the clean-burn side, these did well. Not much smoke, and the jar stayed way cleaner than some others I’ve bought.
I’m giving it 3 stars because while the burn quality is solid, the scent was lighter than I expected, especially for the price. Shipping was fine, nothing memorable either way. My shortcut with stuff like this is if I have to think twice about the price, I probably wait for a sale, and that’s where I landed with these

"Missed Out on the Scents I Wanted"
I had my eye on two scents, but both were sold out when I went to buy them. Frustrating because I really didn’t want to miss out on them.

The return process took forever, honestly. I wasn’t expecting it to be instant or anything, but it dragged on way longer than it needed to. I kept checking for updates between errands and making coffee, which somehow made it feel even slower. The refund did eventually come through, but the whole thing was a hassle and definitely not something I’d want to deal with again...

"Pretty let down by the wax"
I ordered a candle from rootcandles.com and felt disappointed with the wax. It looked nice when it arrived, but after about the first burn, it started tunneling badly and the top got all uneven and lumpy.
It also seemed to burn faster than I expected, and there was messy wax residue around the inside of the jar. For the price, I really thought the quality would be better. I probably wouldn’t buy one again.

"Pretty close to what it says"
I’ve only burned it a couple of times so far, so I can’t say for sure how it holds up long-term, but the scent does seem close to the label. It’s maybe a bit softer than I expected, though not in a bad way.

"The candle itself smelled really nice, so..."
The candle itself smelled really nice, so I did like that part. But the wick was kind of annoying because it kept getting weak or weird and I had to trim it more than I feel like I should have. Sometimes it burned uneven too, which maybe was because of the wick, or maybe just the candle being picky. It wasn’t awful or anything, I just thought it would burn a little better since the scent was good.

"Works fine, just a little clunky"
The site got the job done, but it felt a bit clunky to use. Checkout was kind of slow too. Anyway... I was still able to place my order, so it wasn’t a huge deal

I ordered a couple of candles from rootcandles.com, and while they looked nice enough, the fragrance was really underwhelming. I let them burn for a while hoping the scent would build, but I still had to be close to even notice it. Since I mainly buy candles for how they make a room smell, these just didn’t do it for me. For the price, I expected a much stronger throw. My final take: they’re fine to look at, but not worth it if you care about scent, so I probably wouldn’t order again...

I wanted to like these, I really did, but for the price they just didn’t feel worth it to me. The candle was fine, but nothing that stood out, and I’ve had cheaper ones last longer. By the time shipping was added, it just felt like... like the total was way too much for what I actually got. Maybe other people will love them, but I wouldn’t buy them again at these prices.

I ordered from Root Candles and, the whole thing was more frustrating than it needed to be. Checkout went through fine, but after that it felt like I was just left hanging without any clear idea of what was happening with my order.
The shipping updates were really slow, and when I tried to look into it, the information wasn’t very helpful. On top of that, I kept getting these aggressive reminder emails and messages, which was annoying considering they weren’t even keeping me properly updated on the order I already placed.
I don’t mind waiting a little if I know what’s going on, but this just felt messy. The candles are nice enough, but not worth dealing with the poor communication and constant reminders, so I probably won’t order again.

"Customer service response was slower than I expected"
I reached out to customer service and felt like it took way too long to hear back. I get that things can get busy, but when I’m waiting on a response, especially before making a decision or moving forward, it makes me a little uneasy. I’d feel a lot more comfortable if they were quicker or at least sent an update so I knew my issue was being handled

I actually did like a couple of the scents, so I don’t want it to sound like I hated them or anything. Some of them were just a little weaker than I personally expected. They’re not bad at all, just kind of hit or miss for me. I’d probably try a different scent next time.

"Delivery was fine, just a little late"
My order did arrive in one piece, so no complaints there, but it showed up a few days after the date I was originally given. I reached out to support and they basically said something like, "Sorry for the delay, it's still on the way," which was helpful enough, but I was still kind of waiting around for it. Not a huge deal in the end, just a bit annoying. The candles were totally fine once they got here.

I liked the candles overall, they smell good and feel nice quality. That said, compared to similar candles I’ve bought from other brands, the prices feel a little high for what you get.

"Not really what I thought I was getting"
I’m a little confused by these. When they arrived, they just didn’t look like the photos at all. The shape was kind of uneven, the color seemed off, and one of them had these strange marks on the side. Maybe they burn okay, I’m not sure yet, but for the price I expected them to look a lot nicer.

I bought a couple candles from rootcandles.com, and overall they were decent. The scents were nice and the shipping was totally fine, so no complaints there.
The only thing that kind of bothered me was the way one of them burned. One candle was steady, but the other kept dipping really low and then randomly flaring back up, even after I trimmed the wick like I normally do.
Not saying it’s a scam, but I did expect the burn to be a bit more consistent. I don’t think it was a terrible candle or anything, but I’d probably only order again if there was a good sale.
